Istanbul Beykent University’s Faculties of Fine Arts and Communication have been accredited by ACQUIN

Istanbul Beykent University has achieved significant success by meeting international standards with the quality of education it offers. A total of 14 departments across the Faculties of Fine Arts and Communication have been accredited by ACQUIN.

Beginning its international accreditation activities in 2024, Istanbul Beykent University submitted the documents to the German accreditation body ACQUIN after completing the necessary preparations. 

Following the evaluations on various aspects such as quality of education, effectiveness of teaching processes, competence of academic staff, efficiency of management systems, student satisfaction and infrastructure facilities, ACQUIN found the university in compliance with international standards. 

Within this scope, all 7 departments within the Faculty of Fine Arts, as well as the Department of Public Relations and Advertising from the Faculty of Communication have been accredited until 30 September 2031. The accreditation of the remaining 6 departments in the Faculty of Communication will be valid until 10 December 2026. 

It will provide students with academic and professional advantages 

Prof. Dr. Volkan Öngel, Rector of Istanbul Beykent University, said: “The fact that our university have been accredited by an internationally prestigious institution is an indication that our quality of education is internationally recognised. This success will provide our students with significant advantages in their academic and professional lives.” 

Öngel stated that accreditation efforts are continuing for other departments and said, “At the end of 2024, international accreditation initiatives were launched for fifteen departments within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and for sixteen programmes in our Institute of Graduate Studies. We aim to crown all our departments and programmes with international accreditation.”
